Meet Yvette Arts — The People Behind IIMI
As Vice President of Business Development, Yvette helps connect IIMI’s capabilities with the people and organizations that need them—building long-term relationships, understanding client challenges, and helping shape opportunities for growth.
Yvette Collett Arts, IIMI VP of Business Development, joined IIMI ten years ago. She is an archival digitization executive with more than three decades of experience in corporate communications, and the preservation and online accessibility of historical records. She works with IIMI to assist clients from archives, governments, and cultural heritage institutions transform physical collections—ranging from microfilm and court records to manuscripts and vital records—into accessible digital resources.
Her work focuses on designing scalable digitization projects that integrate imaging technology, AI, data cleanup, addition of metadata, indexing and rigorous quality standards. She has contributed to projects involving millions of historical images across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa—helping institutions preserve fragile records while expanding global access to historical information.
Her academic interests explore how artificial intelligence and digital systems can strengthen archival preservation, expand equitable access to knowledge, and support learning at scale. She is particularly captivated by initiatives that connect archives, technology, and global cultural heritage preservation to ensure that historical records remain accessible for future generations.
Yvette received a BA in Mass Communication from the University of Utah, and an MA in Communications from Brigham Young University.
