Corporate Social Responsibility

Our Community,
Our Responsibility

In every place IIMI operates, we believe it is our responsibility to give back to the people and environments that support us. These efforts may be a small part of what we do, but they reflect something fundamental about who we are: a corporation that understands people come first, and that ethical, livable practices are not optional — they are essential.

Education & Youth Programs

A Place to Belong: Education, Meals, and Care for Every Child

At IIMI, we believe that investing in children is investing in the future. Our flagship initiative is a community school we founded, fund, and operate near our Dhaka campus — a program that has been running for over ten years.

The school serves children between the ages of 7 and 10, many of whom are from families working in secondary sector jobs, leaving them unsupervised for much of the day. By providing a safe, structured environment during working hours, we give these children not just an education, but a place to belong.

Our literacy-focused curriculum teaches reading, writing, and foundational math — building the essential skills children need to transition into formal schooling.

We cover all operating costs, including rent, school supplies, and fair salaries for every teacher.

We also know a child can't learn on an empty stomach. That's why every student receives a hot breakfast each morning — for many, the most reliable meal of their day. Currently, the school supports between 50 and 75 students, and our commitment to their wellbeing goes beyond the classroom. When we noticed students arriving barefoot, we partnered with a local shoe store to measure every child's feet and provide them each with a proper pair of shoes.

In buzzing cities such as Dhaka, there are communities that often go unnoticed. We saw a need, and we stepped in to take care of the people around us.

Community Giving & Volunteering

    Blood Drives &
    Health Awareness

In many parts of Asia, the buying and selling of blood remains legal, creating an industry we believe puts vulnerable people at risk. As a company, we stand firmly against it. We organize regular blood drives across our offices — primarily in Colombo and Dhaka — encouraging voluntary donation as the right and dignified alternative. During dengue season, when the need for blood is especially critical, these drives take on even greater urgency. Through our massive employee database, we operate an internal mobilization network that connects urgent medical requests with exact blood type matches and verified volunteer donors in the local area.

    Donating Equipment to Local Schools

All operations ensures, computers, furniture, and any equipment no longer in active use finds a second life after a following a complete data destruction procedure. Rather than reselling or discarding it, we donate it directly to local schools — ensuring that students who lack access to technology get a fair opportunity to learn with it.

    Clean Drinking Water

In many of our operations, where clean water is both scarce and costly, we provide free, lab-tested filtered water to everyone in our office. Across all of our offices, we encourage staff to bring reusable bottles and reduce plastic waste. At our Kolkata office, we've noticed employees filling larger bottles to bring clean water home for their families — something we're proud to quietly make possible.

    Solar Energy

IIMI is committed to sustainable operations. By installing solar panels across the buildings we operate, we directly harness renewable energy to power our global BPO delivery centers.
